If you already have all of the GS6-53BZ bits, shifter, prop’ and the like, I’d probably stick with that and spend the money saved on other nice bits. It’s 12kg lighter than the GS6-53BZ and could save some fitment headaches in comparison to the F8X GS6-45BZ.This can have a substantial impact on both the performance and drivability of your car if the ratios (1st through 6th) are markedly different. Fitment is only one of your problems, as the power peak point, torque curve, and redline are different between the e46 m3 and the e90 335i.I know the spline count is different, but I'd just use a clutch to suit.
